FIFA 08 GOOD OR JUST ANNOYING?
Why do the players when the ball has been passed to them wait for the ball every time? It really stops the run of play when you want to make a quick break. Is there a way to stop them waiting for the ball to come to them?
The goalkeeper AI is really really bad. The amount of goals scored from long range when the keeper is facing the wrong way is just plain stupid. Since when does a goalkeeper face the wrong way when the opposite team is racing towards goal?
What is up with the through ball? Is it just me or does it try and pass it to the other team unless the player you want to pass it to is in the box?
One major thing which i really hate is taking a free kick. I turn and face my team mate and press the pass button. It then passes it to the opposing team! Why does it do that?
Finally why is it when you really want to clear the ball and give it a good smack out of trouble that they touch the ball as if they are going to break it? I have lost count of the times ive needed to just clear it, but they just header to the opposite team for them to say “thanks ill take that” and put the ball into the back of the net.
Is it just me? Are there things i can do to stop these things fro happening?

You know I ran a poll “which FIFA is better?” on my blog comparing FIFA 08, FIFA 07, FIFA 06 and the opinion that the game is getting worse every year. And almost three quarters claimed FIFA’08 is the best. I think there are some psychological reasons (it’s new product, for example), but numbers ara numbers.

Interesting survey, it is a funny game really as in some ways they seem to of done their homework yet some areas have certainly been forgotten. I think the worst thing for me is when the player waits for the ball to come to them, by the time the character has reacted the opponent has already taken the ball.
I think fifa 09 has much more to add then 08 and earlier fifa editions.
